Avalon Raceway, Borderline Speedway and Premier Speedway Club –  JOINT PRESS RELEASE

Re: COVID-19 Pandemic

Due to the ongoing uncertainty with regards to the COVID-19 Pandemic and recent and continuing updates to Government Legislation and Law regarding this matter, the three host venues, being Avalon Raceway, Borderline Speedway, Mt. Gambier and Premier Speedway, Warrnambool have arrived at the tough decision to cancel all three nights of the 2020 Easter Sprintcar Trail as well as the supporting Easter Super Rod Trail.

This release relates to events as scheduled for Friday April 10, 2020 (Avalon Raceway), Saturday April 11, 2020 (Borderline Speedway) and Sunday April 12, 2020 (Premier Speedway).

This decision has been made in the best interests of all staff, competitors, race fans and race day officials along with the broader community.

On behalf of all three venues, we would sincerely like to thank all of our Easter Trail Partners, Camden Signage and Building Services, the Ray Scott Group, S.E Fire Extinguisher Services, Anderson Bob Cat Service and the Gillin Boys Foundation for their amazing support.

To our amazing Competitors and Fans, we thank you for your understanding during these difficult times and rest assured that all three venues are committed to returning to racing as soon as we possibly can.

In the interim we urge each-and-every one of you to continue to take the necessary pre-cautions as outlined for this Pandemic as we look forward to seeing you at a racetrack again in the not too distant future.

At this time all on-line ticketing will remain suspended with all pre-purchased ticket holders advised to visit each venues website and social media pages for updates on ticketing information.

Stay Safe Everyone.
