WORLD SERIES SPRINTCARS IS BACK AT BORDERLINE THIS SATURDAY NIGHT!

Its Christmas time and this indicates that its Speedweek once again and that World Series Sprintcars is back in town this Saturday night for Round 2 which is also Round 2 of Speedweek.

This season there are 10 contracted cars with high quality taking in the entire Series. James McFadden (Monte Motorsports) and Kerry Madsen (Krikke Motorsports) head lining the contracted teams while its welcome back to Brooke Tatnell who will be taking in the full schedule with Scott Motorsports. The team will be looking for a strong showing at the Scotts home track here at Mt Gambier, likewise Glen Sutherland who is competing in his third season on the road with WSS and led by new crew chief Matt Griffiths and will be wanting a big result on his home track. Last season’s Rookie of the Year Rusty Hickman is back along with the only American on the full tour Lucas Wolfe who is driving for Brad Ayers out of Queensland. Queensland's Lachie McHugh is also on the tour for the J&S Drilling team out of WA and goes well on the Borderline clay and will be one to watch. Young Tasmanian and newly crowned Australian Formula 500 Champion Jock Goodyer will be also looking for a good run to start his WSS rookie campaign. Western Australia's Jason Pryde is also back for another season on the road as is David Murcott racing for ultra-professional V88 Matt Eastham race team.

At the time of print 38 nominations had been received including America's Cory Eliason who will be one to watch racing for the Diamond Bay Motorsport out of WA. Hometown hero Steven Lines will be another one to do well for his ever-growing fan base. Last start winner at Warrnambool Grant Anderson has nominated along with several SA hotshots in the form of Daniel Pestka, Luke Dillon, Matt Egel, Lisa Walker, Ricky Maiolo, Aidan Hall, Brendan Quinn are also in the strong field. A couple welcome additions are the Northern Territory duo in the form of Chace Karpenko and Lenny Cole plus Queensland young gun Randy Morgan who in his first full season last year made the Australian Title final. SRA Regulars Bobby Daly, Brayden Parr, Dennis Jones, Jack Lee, Jye O’Keeffe, Brock Hallett, Adam King & Tasmania’s Tate Frost & Tim Hutchins round out an impressive line-up.

Also on the program is Round 2 of Formula 500 Speedweek with another full field expected with cars from SA, VIC, NSW, WA & Queensland.

It is one of the best nights of the season at the Borderline Speedway and the racing will be HOT!
