SPRINTCARS RETURN TO BORDERLINE THIS SATURDAY NIGHT

Story by Finish Line Media - Australia

After a month’s break the speedway season resumes this Saturday Night at Borderline Speedway with the annual running of the prestigious Tyson Perez Memorial for 360 Sprintcars which doubles up as round 10 of the Dynolog Dynamometers Australian 360 Sprintcar Series.

This event now it is its 9th season and every driver racing this week would love to get their name on the honour roll. Defending champion of this event Daniel Pestka sadly won’t be in action this week however there are plenty of drivers in the field who would rate their chances highly.

Current series leader Mark Caruso will be looking to extend his lead from fellow South Aussie Brendan Guerin while other Series regulars Michael Tancredi and Phil Lock will also have their eyes on closing in on Carusos lead.

Other drivers who will be right up there include Daniel Evans, Luke Dillon, Tim Van Ginneken & Chad Ely. The local South East contingent will be made up of Jack & Ben Gartner and Scott Enderl.

Also, on the program is the next round of the Victorian Wingless Sprint Series. After last weekends Australian title at Warrnambool numbers are a bit light on but the racing is always close in this competitive class. Local drivers Mitch Broome and rookie Kirby Hillyer will lead the local charge while Australia 2 Luke Weel will be looking to go one better this weekend. The Storer brothers are also in action as is Travis Millar, Michael McDonald who drove very well last weekend plus many more.

Supporting the night will be the classics. 18 cars in total with a mixture of Stock cars, Hot Rods, Sportsmans and Saloons.

It all points to a very entertaining evening at Borderline Speedway come Saturday night.
